Here is my story
It all began in high school, where a friend convinced me to join the school volleyball team. Though I was nervous and hesitant at first, I quickly fell in love with the game. The first few practices were full of missed serves and clumsy passes. But that pure joy kept bringing me back to the court.
In the starting phase of my volleyball journey, I got injured and sometimes felt like I was failing. Many times, quitting seemed like the easier option. But each challenge taught me to be strong and determined to get better.
One big moment stands out in my memory. Our team was playing in a regional beach volleyball tournament, and we were not expected to win. But we played with all our heart and spirit and surprised everyone. We didn’t win, but we earned respect and pride.
That experience taught me that volleyball isn’t just about winning – it’s about passion, hard work, and the friendships you make.
Volleyball has also opened some pretty amazing opportunities, and it has led me to a life I never dreamed of having. I played in college, played professionally in Southern California and Minnesota, and won the national championship. I then became a high school coach, a club coach and started coaching at California.
Sharing What I Know
Being a coach, helping young players learn and improve became my new passion. Seeing them get better and more confident was incredibly rewarding. I realized that I should share my journey and the lessons I learned with more people to help them achieve their goals. That’s why I started this blog.
This blog is my way of giving back to the volleyball community by sharing the wealth of knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years.
